Std 8 Field Trip to Agronomy Farm (Dated: 26-04-2025)

A field trip to an Agronomy Farm at Agriculture University, Anand provided students of class 8th with a hands-on learning experience about agriculture, including different farming practices, crop cultivation, and the challenges faced by farmers. It allowed them to observe the real-world application of agricultural knowledge and techniques. Students observed various farming practices, crop varieties, and farming techniques, connecting theoretical knowledge (Vermicomposting, Azolla pot, Green manure, working different agricultural machines etc.) with real-world scenarios. They learnt about different irrigation techniques and the preferred ones. They understood the role of microbes in sustainable farming practices, such as reducing the use of synthetic chemicals and improving soil health. Students also took various measurements on the field. Such farm tasks fosters teamwork and communication skills. Also they make learning more enjoyable and meaningful.
