Class 2 Shadow Games (Dated: 21-02-2026)
Shadow Game is an engaging and activity-based learning experience that helps young learners understand the
basic concept of light and shadow in a simple and enjoyable manner.Students of Grade 2 actively participated
in the Shadow Game activity, where they learned that a shadow is formed when an object blocks light. They
observed how shadows appear on a wall when light falls on an object and understood that the size and shape
of a shadow can change depending on the position and distance of the light source.
Through hands-on exploration, students experimented with torches and sunlight to see how shadows become
bigger, smaller, longer, or shorter. They created different shapes using their hands and cut-outs of
animals, birds, and objects. The activity encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and creative thinking.
The children were excited and enthusiastic throughout the session, as they discovered scientific concepts
through play.
